My Bio
My name is Amer and I live in Finland. What comes for my leisure time… I love bicycling. Last year I cycled about 6000 km with different trekking trips. 6k km cycling is kind of lame but this year I’m hopefully going to do better starting the season with 'Tour de Tampere' =^.^=

But let’s move forward to the part which is the most important for me: photographing. As you can figure out from my gallery, I’m not a professional and I don’t consider myself as a photographer – I’m just a guy who takes pictures.

I’m still seeking my own style and so far – as you can see – my pics are really random. I have lot’s to learn and keeping that in mind, I really have to thank you all: the visitors, commentators and specially all the watchers who are following my ‘open mind photo snaps’ evolving and helping me to evolve.
At first we were supposed to go "Tour de LatEst" route. Tour de LatEst covers about 1292 km, but because we had 12 days in our hands, we decided to take an other route which was partly following Tour de LatEst. So for past two weeks I've been cycling in Estonia and Latvia. Our bicycle trip started from Tallinn from where the route continued clockwise covering the eastern parts of Estonia and northern parts of Latvia. We included Riga, Gulf of Riga coastline and Estonia's both islands to our trip. In the end we cycled total of 1163 km in our 12-day journey. Here's an illustrative map of our route: :thumb317841230: The first couple days were

Phew. That was a race. So last Sunday I cycled 134 km (83 miles) in a race. My average speed was 26 km/h (16,2 mph) with a max speed of 55 km/h (34 mph). So I did my personal record =^.^= There were about 2 200 participators: mixture of pro and common cycler's. And omg those pro ones were fast with average speed of 34 km/h (21 mph)! My bike was running like clockwork and I didn't experience problems (luckily I did the full maintenance before the race). The weather was quite nice with 9 degrees Celsius (48.2 F). Thought we had some rain showers and adverse wind on the way back. But the bicycle season has just started. Now I need to practice

Bicycle Race

Tomorrow is a big day. I love bicycling and tomorrow I'm going to participate for 134 km (83 miles) bicycle competition. Last year I cycled total of 6 000 km (3 728 miles) in different trips and events. In this season I've been practising with 100 km trips. This years race will be my third. For events like this the first thing is to make your bike as light as possible ripping everything "extra" off. This part is easy, but then comes the challenging part: maintenance of brakes, bearings, shifters, cassette, axles and so on. I took couple shots when I was going trough the bike. But after I went deeper with the maintenance, my hands got so dir
